This is the introductory course for the novice shooter that covers the fundamentals necessary to safe and effective handgun handling, as well as help in choosing the correct “carry piece” for you personally. Why take another’s advice when it comes to your life insurance policy when you can make your own informed decision? This class will begin the training necessary for the foundation of the “muscle memory” needed for effective defensive shooting.
The class begins with basic firearms safety and moves through the fundamentals of stance, grip, use of sights, and trigger control, which are all necessary both to form a stable shooting platform and build confidence and self assurance while handling a loaded firearm. From there the student will progress through the proper body and hand position during the four points of the draw, and the proper technique for performing reloads whether it be for a revolver or a pistol, and culminate in live-fire drills.
This calss will run Sundays from 8am to 12pm, dates to be announced.
