Tactical Urban Rifle I
Sunday February 21, 2010
CQB Zero * Sighted & Unsighted Fire * Shooting & Movement * Sight Transition Drills * Extreme Close Quarters Shooting * Hip/Underarm/Sternum Shooting
This one-day course is designed for the AR-15, M-16, and M-4 rifle platforms. The class will start off with a Close Quarters Combat Zero of the gun. The CQB Zero is a realistic zeroing of the rifle based on case studies of actual shootings by both Law Enforcement Officers and Legally Armed Civilians. The class will quickly transition from sighted fire to unsighted fire techniques.
In a close quarters fight there is no need, sometimes no room, and most often no time, to obtain some type of traditional sight picture with your firearm. Because of this, other techniques such as underarm shooting, hip shooting, sternum shooting, as well as other tactics, will be covered with plenty of movement drills and exercises.
This class is open to civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel. The instructor for the course will be Mike Rayburn.
STUDENT MATERIALS: AR-15/M-16 style rifle with sling, three magazines 350 rounds of ammunition, belt, boots, loose fitting BDU style clothing, ball cap, eye & ear protection.
